I still remember the first time I used my mom's sewing machine. I was so excited and thought it would be just a piece of cake but turned out, it was so hard! My first attempted was disastrous but still wearable. It was a tote bag made from my old blouse. Then I kept sewing and sewing until the machine broke! Thank god, my dad is the house handyman, he fixed it. But my mom, she became more strict with me using her sewing machine. I can only use it, if I ask for her permission. But that didn't stop me. I learnt hand stitching. And poked my fingers all the time! I just love making handmade items. Be it for birthdays, or just some celebrations, I will make something for the occasions. I think the best one was flowers in a pot shaped birthday card for my mom made from recycle card stock (my pencil colours box) which I scented it with my dad's perfume when I was 11. When I think about it back, it was hilarious but my mom loved it. And that what was the best about it, my mom knew that I made it with a lot of love which you will find only in handmade things.
And this blog is for me to share, talk, note, create about things I love and desire. I hope you will find something here and enjoy your stay =)
Thank you.
Love,
Syazwi
